Description

Join the Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies for a Rights and Advocacy Learn-In!

On February 21st from 12-1 PM, GSWS will be joined by three panelists from local and regional organizations with expansive legal knowledge, deep advocacy expertise, and grassroots organizing and community-building experience. They will speak to our current sociopolitical landscape and offer tangible advice for moving forward, together. If you've had questions about how the flurry of Executive Orders and various ongoing political attacks impacts you or those around you, this learn-in is for you. From trans rights and immigrant justice, to attempts to dismantle health and care systems, and cuts to diversity initiatives, we'll discuss what we already know, what we might expect to see unfold in the future, and what we can do to protect ourselves and each other in the process.

This is the first of four events in the Department's Spring 2025 Brown Bag Series. All events will be held virtually on Zoom. Closed captioning will be enabled, but there will not be live ASL interpretation.
